Costa Mesa Real Estate Update: January 2021

Numbers and Data confirm that homes for sale in Costa Mesa are at an all-time low.

Since 1983: there have NEVER been so few homes available for sale. At the time of this writing, there are currently only 60 HOMES for sale (this includes condos and townhomes). Not much to see as homes go flying off the market.

What can be surmised from these numbers over the next several months as inventory remains low in Costa Mesa, as do the LOWEST interest rates ever....prices will continue to remain strong with no signs of deflation.

As a buyer, it is important to have all your finances ready to go if you are thinking of making a move. Pre-approval is obvious, but how can your offer look the best? Your ability to remove your contingencies as soon as possible. We are having clients remove them in a 14 day period even though the standard is usually about 3 weeks. Once you are in escrow and something comes up, you’re still protected under the contract and we have found most sellers respond to the buyer who is doing their investigations promptly.

Another good tip: Find a real estate specialist in the area that you are searching and team up with them exclusively as they have a wealth of information on who is thinking of making a move in the near future. Always good to have some inside information!!!
