The theme is a Spanish-monastery inspired interior with lighted candles everywhere for a more intimate and romantic ambiance, perfect for taking a date or a loved on out for dinner. Meanwhile, they also have a spacious contemporary outdoor patio which is also ideal for warm and cozy OC afternoons too. Some favorites are their extremely tender Pork Belly, their Caribbean Blackened Cod (Sandwich), their Ropa Viejo, and of course, their Sangria.

Owned by illustrious husband and wife chefs, Florent and Ameilia Marneau, this cozy Euro-Cal bistro offers a three-course fixed price French menu, a wine tasting bar that’s perfect to indulge in during afternoons and early evenings, and the best tasting fresh salad and French-style tarts baked from the kitchen’s wood-burning oven. Inside the restaurant, the wood plank floors, high wood ceilings, and banquette seating, and the exhibition kitchen promotes a feel of high sophistication but with comfort. They also have a patio with Mediterranean touches of olive trees and romantic communal booths draped with silk taffeta that seat up to 4 persons. Marche Moderne can be located in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza.

Located along Bristol St., the menu holds Italian cuisine that serves massive servings of Southern-Italian dishes that’s really worth every penny. There is a wine-list centered around California labels and a few choice international ones, a family-style menu where each dish is big enough to share for a big family of 6, and serves great coffee that’s perfect with their New York Cheesecake for dessert!
