Step 1:

Remove doors, hinges and hardware then apply 1st coat of paint.

(We were lazy and didn’t remove the hinges! :)

Chalk paint is very very thick and goes on super ez.  You can not make a mistake.

Tip: Use the Annie Sloan or similar Oval Brush

First Coat takes about an hour to dry.

Step 2:

Apply second coat which should remove any of your streaking.

The above picture shows the 2nd coat and wax.

When dry, use a cloth or dry brush and dab/streak or Dark Wax for accent.

Apply a coat of clear wax with brush or cloth.  This is for protection.  It dries lighter.

Tip for Wax:  Experiment first with your technique on the inside of  a cabinet...less is more.  The Dark wax gives it a distressed look.

For a more even look, country farm look, use only clear wax.

Have fun

Experiment.

There are no mistakes, you can always do it over.
