Many of the homes were built in the early 1960s and tend to be one-story California ranches and some two-story homes. The homes typically have 3-4 bedrooms, be on quiet streets, and have backyards. Many of the streets are cul-de-sacs.

Many of the streets are named after past presidents and some are named after state capitals as well. The Mesa North Shopping Center contains a Starbucks, French's Bakery, CVS and more. Mesa North is located within 1 mile of South Coast Plaza for upscale shopping and the Anti-Mall for a more laidback shopping experience with a unique flair.
